Default BC2 maplist and admin tools - 02-03-2010, 07:42 PM

OK, first off when your server is installed you will see a maplist in Control Panel, it will look something like this, you can edit out the ones you don't want to run with a ;

CONQUEST
levels/mp_001
levels/mp_003
levels/mp_005
levels/mp_007
levels/mp_009cq
;RUSH
;levels/mp_002
;levels/mp_004
;levels/mp_006
;levels/mp_008
;levels/mp_012gr
;SQRUSH
;levels/mp_001sr
;levels/mp_002sr
;levels/mp_005sr
;levels/mp_012sr
;SQDM
;levels/mp_004sdm
;levels/mp_006sdm
;levels/mp_007sdm
;levels/mp_009sdm

You can't mix the game modes from here, but there are some admin tools that allow you to do this, Procon works well:

Edit: R28 server docs can be found here, this includes up to date Play List

Admin Tools:

There are still quite a few that are works in progress right now, the EA official one is here: (this is an rcon tool)

http://blogs.battlefield.ea.com/batt...-bfbc2-pc.aspx

I will update this list as more become available, some community made ones are still in beta, but there are the links so you can keep your eye on them:

http://www.bc2cc.com/ (GUI and more user friendly)

More to come as I find them, feel free to add any you find too.

The BC2cc tool isn't working for me. Keeps crashing on two seperate machines. Hopefully it will be sorted by launch.

Is there a working rcon client to use the normal rcon commands in for now?

Make sure you set your admin passwords so there are alpha numeric, i.e. a-z and 0-9.

Any other characters and the server will not start.

that's rcon only, you will have to read the docs for the commands (and some don't work right now).

Download the 'Retail R3 Protocol'

You need the rcon port.

I'm using that one right now, a bit flaky but still one of the better ones so far.

most tickets have been fixed, those that have no email need to get in contact with support to resend it.

the port is in the serveroptions.ini file
